CHILDREN IN CHURCH

Parents: God put the wiggle in your children; don’t feel you have to suppress it in God’s house. All are welcome!

Sit wherever you’d like and encourage your children to participate with you in worship. Children are full of questions. Feel free to quietly answer them and explain the significance of what we are doing together. Their questions are not an unwelcome interruption to our worship, they are an exciting opportunity to talk to them about God. Let them see you singing, praying, giving and worshiping- Children learn to worship by copying you.

Feel free to take advantage of our nursery and Children’s Church, but you are not required to. If you need to leave with a fussy child, feel free to do so, but please come back.

Church family: Jesus said, “Let the children come to me.” Remember that the way we welcome children in church directly affects the way they will respond to church, to God and to one another. Let them know that they are at home here, and it is okay to be themselves in our midst. The presence of children is a gift to the church. Please continue to welcome our children and to give a smile of encouragement to their parents.
